Can I join a group without sharing my location?
Yes. Groups see your streak and on-track days, never your places, visits, or money saved. Here’s what a group sees, what it doesn’t, and how sharing works.
GuideHow health-care places stay private
Doctor’s offices, clinics and pharmacies never become goals or show up in what NoTestudo shows you. Here’s exactly what that means, and what it doesn’t.
GuideGroups that don’t need your location
Accountability helps, and it doesn’t require anyone to see where you are. How NoTestudo groups share streaks and on-track days, and nothing else.

What’s one place you want to show up to this week?
This week’s prompt: name one place you want to visit more this week, and one you want to visit less. Saying it out loud (well, in writing) makes it real. I’ll start: more library, fewer 1 a.m. drive-thru runs. Slow and steady.
FitnessWent to a club meeting alone for the first time
My goal this month is “see people in person twice a week,” and I’d been counting the same two friends over and over. So I went to a board game club meeting by myself. I almost left in the first five minutes. I stayed for two hours. Someone taught me a game I’m still thinking…
SocialHow groups share, and what they never see
A few of you asked what your group can actually see. Here’s the short version. Groups see your streak and on-track days. They never see your places, your visits or your money saved. Sharing is off until you turn it on for a group.
SocialOur group tried a three-visit gym week together
Four of us made a group and agreed on three gym visits each. Seeing everyone’s confirmed days on the weekly board kept it fun, and nobody could see where anyone else went. Three of us hit it, and the fourth is already planning a rematch.
SocialMidterms edition: what’s one small win from last week?
This week’s prompt: tell us one small win from last week. A library hour, a class you almost skipped but didn’t, a coffee you brewed at home. Small wins count. Mine: I finished a whole crossword. Slowly.
StudyOrdered a soda at the bar and nobody cared
A friend’s birthday on Saturday, at a bar. My goal is no bars on weeknights, so technically it was allowed, but I wanted to see if I could just not drink. Ordered a soda with lime. Nobody asked. Nobody cared. I was the only one who remembered the whole night, which was its own…
SobrietyWe swapped Thursday bar night for Thursday dinner
My friends and I always did Thursday at the same bar. I asked if we could do dinner instead, expecting pushback. Everyone said yes right away. Apparently they wanted to save money too. We rotate who picks the place now.
SobrietySkipped the casino part of the family trip
My cousins do a casino night every few weeks. I said I’d come for dinner but skip the casino part. They were fine with it. I got a nice dinner, a ride home and still had my paycheck on Monday.
SpendingLate-night drive-thru is my whole pattern
Daytime me is fine. 11:30 p.m. me, after a long shift, driving past the drive-thru on the way home, is a different person. Things I’m trying: a snack in the car, a different route home, and texting my roommate when I leave work so someone knows I’m coming straight back.
Fast FoodWho helps you show up? Tell us about your people
This week’s prompt: who helps you show up? A roommate who drags you to the gym, a friend who texts “library?” at the right moment, a group that cheers your streak. Tell us about them. Then maybe tell them too.
SocialThree roommates, one group, fewer vape shop runs
Me and my two roommates all wanted to stop the vape shop runs, so we made a group. We see each other’s streaks, nothing else. When one of us has a rough day, the other two just text “walk?” and we go around the block. It’s become our thing.
VapingOur study circle has one rule: phones in the middle of the table
Four of us, one group, same goal: six library hours a week. We meet Tuesday and Thursday nights. Phones go in the middle of the table, and the first person to grab theirs buys snacks. The group only shows streaks and on-track days, so nobody knows who did their hours where, and…
