How health-care places stay private

Doctor’s offices, clinics and pharmacies never become goals or show up in what NoTestudo shows you. Here’s exactly what that means, and what it doesn’t.

This week’s prompt: name one place you want to visit more this week, and one you want to visit less. Saying it out loud (well, in writing) makes it real. I’ll start: more library, fewer 1 a.m. drive-thru runs. Slow and steady.

Some places are nobody’s business. A therapist’s office, a clinic, a pharmacy. NoTestudo takes one hard stance on privacy: health-care places are never matched to your goals, never shown in summaries or maps, and never shared.

What NoTestudo does with health-care places

  • Never a goal. Recognized health-care places are never identified or matched to a goal.
  • Filtered from search. Health-care places are filtered out of place search, so you can’t add one by accident.
  • Nothing kept. NoTestudo doesn’t keep visits, labels, notes, or spending for health-care places.
  • Never shared. Health-care places are never shared with friends, even if you share your location with them.
Good to know

Being exact matters here: raw location can still be collected on your iPhone before those filters run. What NoTestudo promises is that health-care places are filtered out of results, goals and history, and never shown or shared.

Why it works this way

NoTestudo is a tracking and reflection tool, not a health app. Its job is to make your own pattern easier to see for the goals you chose. Health care isn’t a habit to count, so it’s never part of the count.

It keeps the rest of the app honest too. Summaries describe the places tied to your goals. They never mention a clinic you visited.

The rest of your privacy controls

Health-care privacy sits alongside the controls you have everywhere else:1

  • Location permission is always under your control in iOS Settings.
  • Sharing with a group is off until you turn it on, and groups never see your places, visits, or money saved.
  • You can pause tracking, correct a visit, export your data and delete your account.
  • NoTestudo does not sell your personal data.

A note on AI summaries

When AI summaries are on, they’re written from measured activity facts, like place names, goal labels and visit counts. Summary prompts don’t include precise coordinates or account contact fields.1
