My goal is literally “get to class.” It counts visits to my class buildings. I know it’s basic, but I skipped a lot last semester and this is the first full week.

Everything on campus, on one map. That’s the idea behind events in NoTestudo: the places tied to your goals and what’s happening around them, in one view. At UMD, events come from TerpLink, UMD’s event calendar. Browse the kinds of events you’ll find on the Campus Events page.

Find events

  • Map. Event pins show up next to your goal places. Pick a time window like Tonight, This weekend or Next 7 days.
  • Discover. Browse this week’s events, or search them all.

Make a plan only you can see

Open an event and pick a plan: Going, Maybe, Can’t go or Saved. Your plans stay on this device, and only you can see your plan. Tap it again to clear it.

Events you mark Going or Maybe show up in My Plans. From the event you can also add it to your calendar, get directions or open its event page.

Good to know

Your plan never appears on a group board or in anyone else’s app. Group meetups are different: when a group plans a meetup, your RSVP is shared with the host and counted with other members’ answers.

When an event counts toward a goal

Events don’t count by themselves. Places do. If an event happens at one of your goal’s places, your visit counts like any other: NoTestudo notices when you arrive and when you leave.

  • A study session at the library can add hours to a study goal.
  • A home game can count toward a goal about going somewhere more, if the stadium is one of its places.
  • A show at a bar you’re cutting back on is recorded for that goal, so that day isn’t a clear day.
Reframe

Plans don’t count as visits. Only being there does, so a plan you skip changes nothing.

Reporting an event

TerpLink manages campus events, so reports go to them. Open the event on TerpLink and use its report option so UMD and the organizers can review it.1

No. Only you can see your plan. Plans stay on your iPhone.

At UMD, events come from TerpLink, UMD’s event calendar.
Does going to an event count toward my goals?
Only if it happens at one of your goal’s places. Then the visit counts like any other.
What’s the difference between Going and Saved?
Going and Maybe show up in My Plans. Saved keeps an event bookmarked. Either way, only you can see it.
