Getting people outside

A week spent indoors isn’t good for anyone. NoTestudo is built around the places you go, so it gets people out the door: to parks and trails, the gym and the library. Here’s how, and what the research says.

What it looks like

Goals made of real places

Every goal is tied to places you pick, like a park, a trail, the gym or the library. Visits there count on their own, with nothing to log.

What counts as a visit

Time outside counts

Confirmed time at a goal’s places adds up as time invested, and the weekly summary shows it, whether the hours were at the library or on a trail.

Why hours and dollars, not points

Parks and trails near campus

Every campus places guide lists parks and trails near campus: 47 of them across 16 US cities, from Lake Artemesia and the Paint Branch Trail in College Park to the Burke-Gilman Trail in Seattle.

Company on the trail

In the app, parks and trails get their own place boards, with Running and Pickup Games sub-boards for routes, running buddies and whatever game is going. On the site, the Outdoors community is for parks, trails and long walks, with one firm rule: share places, never your live location.

Why outside matters

In a study of 19,806 adults in England, people who spent at least 120 minutes a week in nature were more likely to report good health and high wellbeing than people who spent none, whether those minutes came in one long visit or several short ones (White et al., Scientific Reports, 2019).

that shows up.

NoTestudo is the habit app that tracks itself. Say your goals once, then live your week: the visits, the hours and the dollars you kept add up on their own.

NoTestudo is free on the App Store October 31, for everyone. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you the moment it’s out.
