Leaving my phone in my pocket on walks

Trying something: no podcast, no music, phone stays in my pocket for the whole walk. The first two times were weirdly hard. The third time I noticed there are about six kinds of birds by the pond.

Anyone else do phone-free walks?

The lake loop at golden hour is my new favorite place

Started walking the loop around the lake after my last class. It takes about forty minutes, and the light right before sunset is unreal. Five weeks now. It’s the only part of my day where I’m not looking at a screen.

Rainy week, still made two of four walks

It rained five days out of seven. Made it to the park twice, once in a full rain jacket, which was kind of great. Two of four. Not the week I planned, but not nothing.
