The leaves are turning on the lake loop
Six weeks of the lake loop and this is the best week yet. The trees on the far side went orange all at once, and at golden hour the whole loop glows.
I went five times this week instead of four. Not for the streak. For the trees.

Started walking the loop around the lake after my last class. It takes about forty minutes, and the light right before sunset is unreal. Five weeks now. It’s the only part of my day where I’m not looking at a screen.

Four walks again this week, done by Saturday morning. On the third one I found a bench under a big oak at the back of the park, and now every walk ends there for five minutes. I think the bench is the habit now. The walk is how I get to it.

I picked the park near my apartment and set the goal to four walks a week. Hit four. I didn’t realize how much I needed to just be outside.
